Volker Kraft, 76, decorates his apple tree with 10,000 eggs that are beautifully decorated with everything from sequins to sea shells. He started in 1965 with just 18 eggs, and his collection has grown from there. His family helps in blowing out the insides of real eggs and decorating them for the tree. Kraft’s tree in the town of Saalfeld, in eastern Germany, has become a tourist attraction, drawing thousands of people every year. What an amazing sight!

A secret? A poem? A love letter? A song? The writing held so gracefully by this little silver ring makes it both a meaningful and elegant peace of jewelry.

Your passion
Intensity
Your playfulness
And disorganization
Your scattered belongings
Creating a beautiful collage
Of your vivid life
On the bedroom floor
I never minded
I just smiled
And loved you for it
I could use some relaxation in a place like that.
